Dogs trained at Northern Kennels are appreciated for their refinement, developed manners on birds, and intense pointing style. Importantly, Brian trains and develops dogs with proven techniques that will enable your dog to learn while preserving the dog's enthusiasm to hunt. Northern Kennels is conveniently located in central Massachusetts.
Dogs are evaluated at no cost before consideration for training. Brian believes in giving you and your dog the highest priority. In order to accomplish this, Brian only trains a small number of individually selected dogs to ensure one-on-one attention.
Brian does not train year round, as the winters do not allow for efficient training. Northern Kennels opens on March 1st and closes on September 29th. Openings, if available, are in 1-3 month blocks (depending on the training needed, keeping the specific dog and its abilities in mind).
At Northern Kennels we encourage the dog’s owner to be an intricate part of the training process. As time allows, if clients can work with Brian as he trains your dog it will help make owner and dog a more close knit team when in the field. Additionally, it allows for communication between trainer and owner of some of their particular dog’s nuances. As a state-licensed kennel, prior to the dog’s arrival, Northern Kennels requires current vaccinations, rabies certificate and proof of a negative heart worm for all dogs. Northern Kennels has an emergency veterinarian available 24/7.
